Family First Homecare: 2022 Caregiver of the Year

Adepeju Dawodu, known around the office as Ade, is the recipient of the Family First Homecare 2022 Caregiver of the Year award. Ade has been a licensed practical nurse (LPN) with Family First since 2015, when she helped the first pediatric patient in the Sarasota office. She goes above and beyond and invests her heart and mind in everything she does. As a preceptor for our Preceptor Program, Ade has helped countless Family First nurses gain trach, vent, and general nursing experience, pushing them to raise the bar and pursue excellence.

Learn more about our Preceptor Program.

For seven years, Ade has been a beautiful representation of Family First. She encompasses our values with ease and owns the details in her work. The way she supports other nurses, clients, and the office staff is beyond exemplary. She raised the bar by creating step-by-step orientation protocols that we now present to every nurse assigned to a home. The information she put together is thorough, including helpful tips for day and night shifts, ensuring the safest care possible.

“We love Ade and feel honored to have her on our team here at Family First. Ade is always going above and beyond. She truly deserves this award.”

Doug Drabina, Chief Development Officer

Ade inspires each person she meets, patient and nurse alike. She has had the privilege of watching her client grow since 2015, when she started with Family First, and has furthermore worked with many different families at several of our locations. Her willingness to help her clients, fellow nurses, coworkers, and Family First Homecare is unmatched.
