Our Home Away From Home
The Fort Myers office is a home base for all employees, from field nurses to personnel coordinators, to find support and resources to help them grow professionally and personally, and provide the best care to our families. Like all Family First offices, Fort Myers hosts regular skills fairs, complete with exciting themes to make learning engaging. Most recently, they had a Carnival-themed skills fair, with over 20 nurses completing their annual training.
“We ensure that our nurses get the best training. We have a Preceptor Program that teaches brand new nurses and veteran nurses on g-tube’s, trachs and vents. After graduating the Preceptor Program those nurses can then become Preceptors and teach other nurses.”

One team member, Brianna, consistently goes above and beyond to ensure everyone has the resources they need to succeed, and families have the care required for safety and quality of life.
“Brianna McFarlane has been with Family First Homecare for 2 years. She started in a dual role and is now a Service Coordination Manager (SCM). She has taken our new Personnel Coordinator under her wing and is showing him the ropes. Brianna has recently traveled to Houston, TX to help train another SCM. We are very thankful for Brianna. Our families and nurses enjoy Brianna because she always finds the positives in any situation that may arise.”
