“A memorable moment recently was seeing a patient who we started serving at 1 year old who had to be on the ventilator 24/7 and couldn’t tolerate being disconnected for even a minute and was barely moving or alert. Now at 3 years old, he can be off of the ventilator for up to 6 hours a day, he is awake/alert, laughing, trying to talk, rolling and playing, and it warms my heart to see these kids grow up and thrive.”

Family First Houston is constantly raising the bar. Even in challenging situations, like hurricanes, their team unites to problem-solve and ensure the job gets done, demonstrating resilience and dedication.
“A prime example of team work would have to be when we all went through a hurricane together, were left with no power but still managed to come together and carry on as normal.”

“The possible Hurricane, turned Tropical Storm, Beryl, that knocked out the power and electricity in most of Houston – our entire building was closed and we were creative and found places to group together as an office team so we could better collaborate and work as a team during this time. The Houston staff communicated awesomely during this time; with each other, patients, nurses and all of the alert media/ Emergency Management needs. I was very proud of this group!”
